I hate that GTA 6 is a game that’s going to exist (or at least I hope it does, unless all those developers in India quit because Rockstar keeps overworking and underpaying them). I hate it because it’s the game that’s keeping me from selling my PS5—something that I’ve been wanting to do for months now.

I’ve had my PS5 for almost two years, but I haven’t turned it on in over a year. Do you know how many games I own for this thing? Two. Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. One of which I kinda hated, and the other I thought was incredibly underwhelming (I won’t tell you which is which). But that’s it. I played a couple of indies and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart via PS Plus, but most of my gaming over this past year has been either retro titles or on the PC via my MSI Claw 8 handheld. I’ve played most of Sony’s exclusives, like Forbidden West and Ragnarök, on the PC via Steam, and have been loving my time in Lord Gaben’s warm embrace.

I was fully ready to move on from consoles, seeing as both Sony and Xbox have been porting their games over to the PC throughout this generation. Unfortunately, with the new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma reportedly “reevaluating” Xbox exclusives, and Jason Schrier reporting that Sony’s upcoming big-name titles like Wolverine will likely not come to PC due to poor sales of Sony’s past titles on the platform, it’s becoming harder to justify selling this big, black-and-white eye sore. Also, Ms. Sharma, please don’t make Halo and Gears exclusive to Xbox.

Grand Theft Auto 6
Please bring these two to PC quickly, Rockstar. Let a man sell his PS5!

Here’s the thing, though. I can live without PlayStation exclusives. Although I enjoyed most of them this generation, I didn’t think any were truly remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. On the other hand, with everything that we’ve seen, Grand Theft Auto 6 is looking to be one of those experiences. Unfortunately, Rockstar never releases their games day-and-date on PC, usually taking months, if not years, to port. I don’t know if I can wait months or years to play modern-day Bonnie and Clyde.

Unfortunate, because with RAM-aggeddon currently happening and PS5 prices skyrocketing, I could’ve made a killing.
